Bikram Yoga Class
Bikram Yoga is a series of twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures and two Pranayama breathing techniques designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective yoga experience. During this 90-minute class, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and internal organ in the entire body, giving you an overall sense of well being.
All Bikram classes are performed in a room warmed to approximately 105 degrees and an average of 40% humidity. The heat and humidity warms our bodies allowing us better flexibility. Additionally, when we sweat, toxins are flushed from the body. While it may feel uncomfortable initially, the heat only furthers the benefits of the postures and breathing techniques.
The 26 Postures of Bikram Yoga:
Do you love Bikram Yoga but just can’t find 90 minutes? This class is the perfect class for you. This series is the same twenty-six postures and two breathing exercises we find in the traditional Bikram Method class but we switch it up a bit in an invigorating sequence. This class will work you inside out, bones to skin and get you home in time for dinner.
Bikram Express Lite
Bikram Express Lite is Bikram’s shorter and cooler best friend! This class is tailored to meet the needs of the class while staying true to the tradition of the Bikram series. This class is performed in a warmed room (95-100 degrees) and all twenty-six postures are performed during the 60 minute class.
Baptiste Power Vinyasa
Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is a vigorous and powerful practice. Students flow from pose to pose, moving on the breath with a focus on the principles of alignment. Baptiste Yoga is accessible to anyone, from any background looking for total physical, mental and emotional transformation. Room is heated to around 90 degrees.
Yoga can be intimidating for anyone and the traditional yoga world sometimes perpetuates this. It is the mission of Baptiste Yoga to make yoga accessible to anyone. It’s dynamic and energizing-it sculpts, hones and tones every muscle in the body. It is for EVERYbody, no matter what level of fitness. It is purposefully challenging and active so that it can catapult students from wherever they are right now to whole new thresholds of physical and mental power.
Pyropilates is a super high paced class that will have everyone sweating, working and cheering on your classmates. It combines pilates, intense cardio and HEAT (105 degrees) to strengthen the core. Created by Bikram Yoga Teacher, Missy Jones, this sequence involves lots of planks, dynamic movements and sometimes even disco lights. Be ready to be challenged!!
The Intermediate class is an amazing class designed for EVERYONE! This class is a sequence of 52 postures, including the 26 postures from the Bikram Beginners series. The 52 postures of this sequence are designed to take your yoga to the next level. You will explore deep hip openers, learn the Salutes to the Gods and Goddessess, the sun and the moon and find new strengths you never knew you had. This class is fun and transformational.
