About Bikram Yoga Doylestown
Welcome to Bikram Yoga Doylestown. Join us as we stretch our bodies using yoga postures and breathing exercises. In any one class you will experience a moving meditation, a practice in mindful breathing, a full body work out, a facial, a sauna, a massage and an escape from your busy life. Our core curriculum is Bikram Yoga, which is a series of twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures and two Pranayama breathing techniques designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective yoga experience. During this 90-minute class, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and internal organ in the entire body, giving you an overall sense of well being.
Bikram classes are performed in a room warmed to approximately 105 degrees and an average of 40% humidity (unless otherwise noted). The heat and humidity warms our bodies allowing us better flexibility. Additionally, when we sweat, toxins are flushed from the body. While it may feel uncomfortable initially, the heat only furthers the benefits of the postures and breathing techniques.
To bring each yogi the practice he or she needs, Bikram Yoga Doylestown offers Hatha and Vinyasa classes as well as a weekly meditation practice. Please check our schedule times and dates.
Bikram Yoga Doylestown is committed to providing a well rounded experience for every yogi, novice, expert or anyone in between. Our instructors offer guidance tips for our novice yogis in each class as well as those with any physical restrictions. Whatever your age, injury, or prior yoga experience (if any at all), our classes will benefit your body, mind and spirit.
MOLLY MITNICK (Studio Director)
Molly started practicing Bikram Yoga in 2007 in search of mental clarity and physical wellness. Within minutes of taking her first class she was hooked. This form of yoga made her feel alive and she was certain that Bikram Yoga was something she needed in her life more than just once. And so she kept going back. Within a year Molly had fallen in love with Bikram Yoga as well as one of her fellow practitioners (who she later married!) That same year she competed in the Philadelphia Regional Yoga Asana Competition and made up her mind that she would work towards becoming a Bikram Yoga teacher.
In Spring 2011 Molly made the trip from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to train at the Bikram Yoga College of India where she spent nine weeks studying the yoga, the asana and the human body. Upon her return to her hometown she threw herself into teaching at seven regional studios, learning to teach to the individual and to use her compassion and knowledge of the yoga asanas to teach a vigorous, yet fun and energetic class.
You will hear your instructors tell you, “this yoga will change your life,” Molly is a living example of how this happens. In five years of doing Bikram yoga, Molly has become the happiest and healthiest version of herself. She has fallen in love with a fellow yogi, married him and together they have started a family with their two little yogis, Miles and Edie. Now, Molly is excited to share this yoga with the Doylestown and the Bucks County communities.
